Station gage imageSTATION.--403434078302201 CAMBRIA COUNTY, local well number CA 459.
LOCATION.--Lat 40`34'34", long 78`30'22", Hydrologic Unit 02050201.
OWNER.--U.S. Geological Survey.
WELL CHARACTERISTICS.--Drilled observation well, depth 148 ft.
INSTRUMENTATION.--Data collection platform with 60-minute recording interval. Satellite telemetry at station.
DATUM.--Elevation of land surface is 2,070 ft above sea level, from topographic map.
REMARKS.--Cause of large water-level fluctuations are unknown, but could be related to nearby mining operations. Daily maximum, minimum and mean water levels are available from the District Office.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--July 2002 to August 2008. (Discontinued)
COOPERATION.--Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
This station managed by the PAWSC New Cumberland Office.
