STATION.--03021520 FRENCH CREEK NEAR UNION CITY, PA.
LOCATION.--Lat 41`54'28", long 79`53'49", Erie County, Hydrologic Unit 05010004.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1909 to S eptember 1991; October 2005 to September 2009, discharge measurements only; 2010 to current year, continuous discharge record.
DRAINAGE AREA.--221 square miles.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and heated tipping bucket precipitation gage. Datum of gage is 1192.3 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Satellite telemetry at station. Prior to December 7, 2022, the datum of gage was erroneously published as 1,191.16 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929.
COOPERATION.--Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District.
REMARKS.--Flood flow regulated since October 1971 by Union City Reservoir, 0.9 miles upstream.
This station managed by the PAWSC Pittsburgh Field Office.
