[!] Over the next year, the USGS Pennsylvania Water Science Center will be updating the geodetic vertical elevation (gage datum) for many locations. Click HERE for additional information including a current list of streamgages with upcoming datum changes. This update in gage datum does not affect the location of the streamgage, nor the observed local gage height or discharge recorded at the streamgage.

  • Water-Year Summary reports summarize a year of hydrologic data in a printer-friendly format.
  • For water years 2014 onward, choose a water year and parameter and an on-demand Water-Year Summary report will be generated.
  • For water years 2006 through 2013, choose a water year and an Annual Water Data Report will be provided.
  • For water years 2005 and earlier, Annual Water Data Reports may be available in digital format.
  • Not all sites have reports available for every water year.

WATER-QUALITY RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 2013 to November 2017.
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD -

WATER TEMPERATURE: March 2013 to October 2017 (seasonal, April to November).

SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: March 2013 to October 2017  (seasonal, April to November).

DISSOLVED OXYGEN: March 2013 to November 2017  (seasonal, April to November).

pH: March 2013 to October 2017  (seasonal, April to November).

COOPERATION - Station established and maintained by U.S. Geological Survey. Funding for the operation of this station is provided by Lake Lynn Generation, LLC.
INSTRUMENTATION - Continuous water-quality monitor interfaced with a data collection platform with a 15-minute recording interval, measuring water temperature, specific conductance, pH, and dissolved oxygen. Satellite telemetry at station.
REMARKS -

Data collection is suspended in winter months. Other interruptions in the record were due to equipment malfunctions. Data may not be representative of the entire river width.

Historically, water temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius were not reported. Water temperature sensors now have the ability to accurately read water temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius.

Cross-sectional water quality data is available upon request.

For water year 2014, records for water temperature, specific conductance, and pH are rated good. Records for dissolved oxygen are rated poor.

For water year 2015, records for water temperature, specific conductance, pH, and dissolved oxygen are rated good.

For water year 2016, records for water temperature, specific conductance, and pH are rated good. Records for dissolved oxygen are rated fair, except for September 10-30, which are poor.

For water year 2017, records for water temperature, specific conductance, and pH are rated fair. Records for dissolved oxygen are rated poor.
