50113950 LAGO CERRILLOS AT DAMSITE NEAR PONCE, PR
LOCATION - Lat 18°04'44.46", long 66°34'33.07" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Ponce Municipio, PR, Hydrologic Unit 21010004, on left bank west from intake house of dam, 0.7 mi (1.1 km) southwest from San Mateo at Real Abajo Church, 3.2 mi (5.1 km) northeast from Hospital de Distrito de Ponce, and 2.2 mi (3.5 km) northwest from Yuca School.
DRAINAGE AREA - 17.4 mi². (45.1 km2).

WDR PR-94-1, 1993, 1994, 2013, 2014.

Datum of gage was previously reported in the site file as 637.5 ft (194.3 m) above NGVD29 and LMSL-Old PR. NGVD29 datum does not exist in Puerto Rico and the correct LMSL-Old PR elevation is 0 ft, published historical records did not reflect this site file typo. Revised to PRVD02 Datum in October 2022. 

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1992 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder, satellite and radio telemetry at station. Datum of gage is above Local Mean Sea Level (LMSL- Old PR) and above Puerto Rico Vertical Datum of 2002 (PRVD02).
REMARKS - Lake is formed by Cerrillos Dam, a rockfilled ungated structure completed in 1992. Elevation of crest is 611 ft (186 m) above mean sea level, with a structural height of 323 ft (98 m) and a length of 1,555 ft (474 m). The dam has a capacity of approximately 47,900 acre-ft (59.1 hm3). The dam is operated by the Puerto Rico Department of Natural and Environmental Resources (PRDNER)and its purpose is for flood control, water supply, and recreation. The figures of elevation of 2400 hrs. for the period of June 10 to September 30, 2013 (WY-2013) have been revised. Revised figures are available at the Caribbean-Florida Water Science Center (CFWSC) San Juan Office files.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum elevation, 602.84 ft (183.74 m), September 22, 1998; minimum elevation, 416.63 ft (126.99 m), October 1, 1992.
