PERIOD OF RECORD - October 2007 to September 30, 2012; discontinued. Although gage-height record has been recorded since January 2002. The construction of the Puerto Rico State Highway 10 (PR-10) and the Portugués Dam upstream from the station, has made the stage-discharge relationship unreliable from January 2002 to September 2006. GAGE - Water-stage recorder, satellite telemetry at station. Elevation of gage is 246 ft (75.0 m) above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.
REMARKS - Records fair except those for estimated daily discharges, which are poor. Flow regulated by Rio Portugués Dam, approximately 0.93 mi (1.50 km) upstream from station. No stage-discharge definition above 2.60 ft (0.79 m) gage-height and 252 ft³/s (7.14 m3/s) discharge.
