Link to US Army Corps of Engineers discharge for Gavins Point Dam
This station operated in cooperation with the US Army Corps of Engineers.

Collection of water-quality samples on the Missouri River near Yankton, SD has been discontinued due to lack of funding. This was the only site on the Missouri River downstream of Bismarck where extensive, ongoing water-quality data was being collected and made available to the public. Sampling included field parameters, nutrients, select major and minor trace elements, and pesticides. Inquiries regarding funding for this site can be directed to Joyce Williamson(jewillia@usgs.gov, 605-394-3219) or Mark Anderson(manders@usgs.gov, 605-394-3200).

The precipitation data for this station are temporary and will only be displayed for 120 days. Time series values will NOT be available for retrieval following the 120-day display period. Rainfall instrumentation may not be calibrated, and other quality assurance measures may not be performed that would make the data acceptable for archival, retrieval, or future use in general scientific or interpretive studies.
