  • Notice - The USGS Water Resources Mission Area's priority is to maintain the safety and well-being of our communities, including providing critical situational awareness in times of flooding in all 50 U.S. states and additional territories. Our hydrologic monitoring stations continue to send data in near real-time to NWISWeb, and we are continuing critical water monitoring activities to protect life and property on a case-by-case basis. The health and safety of the public and our employees are our highest priorities, and we continue to follow guidance from the White House, the CDC, and state and local authorities.

Lower Colorado River Authority

Historical daily mean elevation values for this LCRA-owned reservoir (part of Highland Lakes chain) may be found online at the LCRA web site here.

The Lower Colorado River Authority uses the vertical datum established during the construction of the projects, which is known as the "Reservoir Datum", for reporting reservoir stage under parameter code 00062 Reservoir Elevation. The "Reservoir Datum" for 08154900 Tom Miller Dam is 0.31 ft lower than the North American Vertical Datum 1988 (NAVD 88). USGS policy requires reservoir elevation to be referenced to NAVD 88. For user convenience, both datums are referenced. For additional information, contact USGS Oklahoma-Texas Water Science Center at 512-927-3500. These data are obtained from and available through the LCRA Hydromet website.

This station managed by the Austin Field Unit.
