Location.--Latitude 47°18'45", Longitude
122°12'10", in NW 1/4 NW 1/4 Section 17, Township 21 North,
Range 5 East, in King County, Hydrologic Unit 17110013, on
left bank 1.2 miles east of Auburn, 1.8 miles downstream of Big Soos
Creek, and at river mile
area is 399 mi2, excludes 3.67 miles in vicinity of
Youngs Lake, flow from which has been diverted to Cedar River since
about 1935. Datum of
gage is NGVD of 1929.
15-minute precipitation data for this station are
temporary and will only be displayed for 120 days. Time
series of 15-minute or cumulative daily values will NOT be
available for retrieval following the 120-day display period.
Although the instrumentation is calibrated at least once/year, the
temporary classification means that documented routine inspections
and other quality assurance measures are not performed that would
make the data acceptable for archival, retrieval, or future use in
general scientific or interpretive studies.
Starting on or shortly after April 19th, 2021, the gage
height values for this station will be converted to report in
NAVD of 1988 elevation levels instead of the current datum.
Stream water-surface elevation values in NAVD 1988 will be
determined by adding +3.41 feet to gage height values.
