left bank 1.2 miles east of Auburn, 1.8 miles downstream of Big Soos
Creek, and at river mile
area is 399 mi2, excludes 3.67 miles in vicinity of
Youngs Lake, flow from which has been diverted to Cedar River since
about 1935. Datum of
gage is NGVD of 1929.

Although the instrumentation is calibrated at least once/year, the
temporary classification means that documented routine inspections
and other quality assurance measures are not performed that would
make the data acceptable for archival, retrieval, or future use in
general scientific or interpretive studies.
On May 11, 2021, the gage height datum was converted to the
NAVD of 1988 datum. All reported gage heights and stage-discharge
ratings have been converted and are consistent with elevations
based on the NAVD88 datum. A conversion factor of +3.41 ft was used
to convert the old gage heights to the currently reported
instantaneous gage height and stage-discharge rating
