LOCATION - Lat 47°09'05", long 121°56'55" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.08, T.19 N., R.7 E., King County, WA, Hydrologic Unit 17110014, on right bank 0.4 mi upstream from Red Creek, 1.7 mi downstream from Mud Mountain Dam, 3.8 mi east of Buckley, 7.4 mi downstream from Clearwater River and at mile 27.9.

Nov. 26, 1938 to Feb. 14, 1939, nonrecording gage at present site and datum. Oct. 26, 2004 to Sept. 30, 2005, water-stage recorder at site 50 ft downstream at present datum.

EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD - Flood in December 1933 reached a stage of 23.4 ft, from floodmarks, at former site, discharge, 28,000 ft³/s, from rating curve extended above 3,500 ft³/s.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 17,000 ft³/s, Feb. 26, 1932, gage height, 17.5 ft, site and datum then in use, from rating curve extended above 3,500 ft³/s.
