LOCATION - Lat 47°50'15", long 121°39'56" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SW 1/4 SW 1/4 sec.09, T.27 N., R.9 E., Snohomish County, WA, Hydrologic Unit 17110009, on right bank 2.0 mi southeast of Gold Bar, 7.3 mi upstream from Wallace River, and at mile 43.0.
DRAINAGE AREA - 535 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1316: 1932-35(M), 1944(M).
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1928 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gages. Datum of gage is 212.91 ft above NAVD of 1988 (USGS Level II GNSS survey) and 209.26 ft above NGVD of 1929 (topographic map). Prior to Oct. 1, 1996, at site 275 ft downstream at same datum.
REMARKS - No regulation. Several small diversions upstream from station. Chemical analyses July 1959 to September 1970, October 1977 to June 1980. U.S. Geological Survey satellite telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 129,000 ft³/s, Nov. 6, 2006, gage height, 24.51 ft, from rating curve extended above 114,000 ft³/s based on slope-area measurement; minimum daily discharge, 297 ft³/s, Aug. 28, 2015.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 23.4°C, Aug. 15, 2023; minimum, 0.0°C on several days during winter.
