LOCATION - Lat 48°46'40", long 121°04'20" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Whatcom County, WA, Hydrologic Unit 17110005, on rightbank, 0.3 mi upstream from mouth, 60 mi east of Bellingham.
DRAINAGE AREA - 63.2 mi².  
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 982: 1942. WSP 1932: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - March 1940 to September 1948 (published as Beaver Creek near Newhalem), November 1962 to September 1969 and June 27, 2018 to current water year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 1,600 ft above NGVD of 1929 from river profile map and 1610.19 ft. above NAVD 1988, from GNSS2 static survey.
REMARKS - U.S. Geological Survey satellite telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily discharge, 11,800 ft³/s, estimated, Nov. 15, 2021; maximum gage height, 10.14 ft., Nov. 15, 2021. Minimum discharge, 64 ft³/s, part or all of each day March 7-12, 1969.
