USGS 05369000 RED CEDAR RIVER AT MENOMONIE, WI

LOCATION.--Lat 44°52'31", long 91°56'17", in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.27, T.28 N., R.13 W., Dunn County, Hydrologic Unit 07050007, on right bank at Hwy 29 at Menomonie, about 1 mi downstream from powerplant of Northern States Power Co., and 0.8 mi. downstream from previous gage location.

DRAINAGE AREA.--1,770 square miles.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--June 1907 to September 1908, May 1913 to present. Monthly discharge only for some periods, published in WSP 1308.

REVISED RECORDS.--WDR WI-81-1: Drainage area.

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 767.38 ft NAVD88 (Northern States Power benchmark). Prior to Sept. 3, 1908, nonrecording gage 0.2 mi downstream at different datum. May 9, 1913, to Sept. 30, 1923, water-stage recorder 0.8 mi. upstream at datum 779.06 sea level. Oct. 1, 1923 to Sept. 30, 2004, water-stage recorder 0.8 mi. upstream at datum 779.48 sea level.

REMARKS.--Flow regulated by powerplants at Menomonie and Cedar Falls. Gage-height telemeter at station.
