USGS 13132000 BIG LOST RIVER NR MOORE ID

LOCATION.--Lat 43° 47'38", long 113° 21'56"(Rev.)(NAD83), in NW1/4 SW1/4 NE1/4 sec.4, T.5 N., R.26 E., Butte County, Hydrologic Unit 17040218, Ramshorn Canyon quad., 1 mi upstream from Moore Canal diversion dam, 4 mi north of Moore, and 11 mi north of Arco.

DRAINAGE AREA.--1,323 mi2, revised.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--November 1919 to December 1926 (discontinued).

GAGE.--Staff gage. Elevation of gage is 5,550 ft above NGVD of 1929, by barometer.

REMARKS.--Many diversions for irrigation above and below station. Flow regulated by Mackay Reservoir (sta 13126000) and by canal diversions upstream.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 2,330 ft3/s (estimated) June 14, 1921, from high-water marks; minimum discharge observed, 12 ft3/s Dec. 27-29, 1924, gage height, 0.16 ft.
