LOCATION - Lat 38°14'43", long 79°46'08" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Bath County, VA, Hydrologic Unit 02080201, on right bank 900 ft upstream from bridge on State Highway 600, 0.8 mi upstream from Gap Run, and 4.8 mi northeast of Sunrise.
DRAINAGE AREA - 60.9 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - OFR 2006-1308: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1974 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 2,199.81 ft NAVD of 1988. July 2 to Sept. 6, 1990, nonrecording gage, at present site and datum.
REMARKS - Virginia Power gage-height transmitter at station, receiver at Back Creek Dam. Maximum discharge, 17,500 ft³/s, from rating curve extended above 3,800 ft³/s. Water-quality records for some prior periods have been collected at this location.
