LOCATION - Lat 31°29'21", long 89°26'00" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.18, T.6 N., R.14 W., Covington County, MS, Hydrologic Unit 03170004, St. Stephens Meridian, near left bank on downstream side of bridge on State Highway 598, 0.3 mi west of Sanford, and 2.6 mi east from intersection of State Highway 598 and U.S. Highway 49, and 6.1 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA - 257 mi².
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1994 to current year, occasional discharge measurements, water years 1965-1969, 1989.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder. Datum of gage is 183.33 ft above NGVD of 1929 (Mississippi Department of Transportation bench mark).
REMARKS - Records good, except for estimated periods which are poor. Satellite telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge 13,500 cfs; Gage height 24.76 feet; Date March 11, 2016.
