LOCATION - Lat 38°44'00", long 121°18'03" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.10, T.10 N., R.6 E., Placer County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18020111, on left bank downstream side of bridge, and 0.5 mi below confluence of Cirby Creek, at Roseville.
DRAINAGE AREA - 80.1 mi².

SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1996 to September 1999 (no low-flow records), October 1999 to Apr. 2, 2012 (discontinued).
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 102.33 ft above NGVD of 1988 (levels by City of Roseville). Prior to Nov. 10, 1999, at site 30 ft upstream at same datum. Nov. 10, 1999, to Sept. 30, 2011, at datum 2.37 ft lower.
REMARKS - Low summer flow sustained by ground-water seepage and residential and industrial wastewater. Station taken over by the City of Roseville on Apr. 2, 2012, USGS ceased to operate or maintain site on that date. Records for WY 2012 are complete to date of takeover.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum discharge, 7,950 ft³/s, Jan. 22, 1997, gage height, 24.39 ft; minimum daily, excluding no-flow records, 3.5 ft³/s, Oct. 24, 26, 2005.
