LOCATION - Lat 40°38'49", long 122°37'34" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 NW 1/4 sec.11, T.32 N., R.7 W., Shasta County, CA, Hydrologic Unit 18020112, at powerplant, 1.6 mi downstream from Mill Creek, and 3.8 mi south of French Gulch.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - April 1963 to current year.
GAGE - Recorded powerplant output.
COOPERATION - Records were provided by U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, not rounded to U.S. Geological Survey standards.
REMARKS - Water is diverted from Trinity River, lat 40°43'31", long 122°47' 22", NW 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.8, T.33 N., R.8 W., through a tunnel to powerplant and then into Whiskeytown Lake (station 11371700). See schematic diagram of upper Sacramento River Basin, Pit River and McCloud River Basins, and Klamath River and Trinity River Basins available from the California Water Science Center.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Maximum daily discharge, 4,000 ft³/s, Oct. 18, 1987; no flow for many days most years.
