LOCATION - Lat 26°28'39", long 81°50'31" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in NE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.18, T.46 S., R.25 E., Lee County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090204, 13 ft south of Park Road, 0.2 mi west of U.S. Highway 41, and 1.5 mi northwest of Estero Post Office.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 270 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 223 ft, bottom of last opening 270 ft. Artesian well, open hole 223 to 270 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 5.17 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of casing, 7.52 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 29, 1975 to Jun. 23, 1999; Top of casing, 7.32 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Jun. 22, 1999 to Sep. 20, 2002; Top of casing, 8.92 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Sep. 20, 2002 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - August 1968 to November 1974 (bimonthly), December 1974 to August 2002 (monthly), September 2002 to current year.
GAGE - In-Situ Level Troll 500 pressure transducer.
REMARKS - Well was also used for salinity and chloride monitoring, discontinued Sept. 2022. Records of water levels prior to October 1975 are available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey. In September 2002, the station was reconstructed with a new measuring point elevation. See DATUM.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level measured, 16.1 ft NGVD, Feb. 25, 1977; lowest recorded, 45.86 ft below NGVD, Apr. 28, 2022.
