LOCATION - Lat 26°42'36", long 81°31'04" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, in SE 1/4 NE 1/4 sec.28, T.43 S., R.28 E., Hendry County, FL, Hydrologic Unit 03090205, 25 ft west of Fort Denaud Road (County Road 78A), 0.1 mi north of State Road 80, and 6.2 mi southwest of La Belle.
REVISIONS HISTORY - Continuous groundwater levels and discrete water-level elevation measurements above NGVD29 for the period of April 25, 2020 to April 30, 2021, were revised on April 14, 2022, due to the use of an incorrect measuring point.
GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 14 ft. Upper casing diameter 4 in; top of first opening 3 ft, bottom of last opening 14 ft.
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 17.7 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Measuring point: Top of shelf, 20.27 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Oct. 27, 1976 to present; Top of casing, 20.2 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, Apr. 27, 2020 to Apr. 5, 2022.
PERIOD OF RECORD - October 1976 to September 1977 (monthly), October 1977 to October 1983 (daily), November 1983 to February 1987 (intermittent), March 1987 to September 1996 (daily), October 2003 to current year.
GAGE - Electronic data logger.
REMARKS - Latitude and longitude corrected using GPS during the 1995 water year. Records of water levels prior to October 1977 are available in files of the U.S. Geological Survey.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD - Highest water level, 17.81 ft NGVD, Sept. 10, 2017; lowest, 11.89 ft NGVD, May 30, 31, 2007.
