LOCATION - Lat 31°41'07", long 88°39'27" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, in NE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.02, T.8 N., R.7 W., Wayne County, MS, Hydrologic Unit 03170002, St. Stephens Meridian, 1 mile west, southwest of center of Waynesboro, at Turner Street and Gulf Mobile and Ohio Railroad.  Well is located about 2 miles east of the Chickasawhay River.

GROUNDWATER RECORDS
WELL CHARACTERISTICS - Depth 96 ft. Upper casing diameter 8 in; top of first opening 32 ft, bottom of last opening 82 ft. Vicksburg Group of Byram Formation of Oligocene age, Drilled unused artesian aquifer (old public well).
DATUM - Land-surface datum is 179 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Measuring point: top of 1-inch vent pipe located on north side of pump base, 2.3 ft above land-surface datum, Mar. 19, 1973 to present.
PERIOD OF RECORD - Miscellaneous measurements 1973, February 1975 to September 1993, February 1998 to current year.
GAGE - Water-level recorder. Land surface datum at well is 179 feet above NAVD88. Recorder is located in an aluminum shelter on a concrete base, situated over the water well.
COOPERATION - Wayne County and the City of Waynesboro, Mississippi
REMARKS - Feb 19, 1998 to current. Groundwater level records fair to good. Missing periods due to intermittent malfunctions are not estimated or gap filled over 120 minutes. Well was reset to NAVD elevation on Nov 05, 2019.
