The colored dots on this map depict streamflow conditions as a percentile, which is computed from the period of record for the current day of the year. Only stations with at least 30 years of record are used.

The gray circles indicate other stations that were not ranked in percentiles either because they have fewer than 30 years of record or because they report parameters other than streamflow. Some stations, for example, measure stage only.

Statewide Streamflow Table

Real-time data typically are recorded at 15-60 minute intervals, stored onsite, and then transmitted to USGS offices every 1 to 4 hours, depending on the data relay technique used. Recording and transmission times may be more frequent during critical events. Data from real-time sites are relayed to USGS offices via satellite, telephone, and/or radio and are available for viewing within minutes of arrival. All real-time data are provisional and subject to revision.

NOTICE (8/28/2009) --Data collection and real-time data delivery at all of the following streamgages and rain gages and one of the three water-quality monitors is expected to be continued through September 30, 2010, as a result of funding received from the USGS National Streamflow Information Program (NSIP), the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, the National Weather Service, and the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers-Baltimore District. Water-quality data collection is expected to be restarted at the water-quality monitor located on the Tioga River at Tioga Junction in the fall of 2009. Funding for data collection and operation of equipment at all of these sites is relatively certain beyond September 2010, pending the year-to-year availability of Federal and State funding. Water-quality data collection was discontinued at the water-quality monitor located on the West Branch Susquehanna River at Renovo in October 2008. There are no plans to restart water-quality data collection at this location.

S. Army Corps of Engineers-Baltimore District. Funding for operation of equipment at all of these sites is uncertain beyond September 2009. Water-quality data collection has been discontinued at the water-quality monitors located on the Tioga River at Tioga Junction and the West Branch Susquehanna River at Renovo.
