USGS 04073468 GREEN LAKE INLET AT CT HIGHWAY A NR GREEN LAKE, WI

LOCATION.--Lat 43°49'28", long 88°55'36", in NE 1/4 SE 1/4 SE 1/4 sec.27, T.16 N., R.13 E., Green Lake County, Hydrologic Unit 04030201, on left bank at downstream side of County Trunk Highway A, 2.3 mi southeast of Green Lake.

DRAINAGE AREA.--53.5 square miles.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--February 1987 to July 2012.

GAGE.--Doppler-type 1500 KHz side-looking acoustic velocity meter installed November 2010. Previously, different velocity meter systems were used. Cross-path, dual-depth transducers installed on June 6, 1990. Datum of gage is 789.91 ft NAVD 1988. (from Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources benchmark).

REMARKS.--Estimated discharges are based on discharges from downstream station, Puchyan River near Green Lake (04073473) and lake levels at Green Lake at County Trunk Highway A near Green Lake. Flows fluctuate due to seiche from Green Lake. Gage-height telemeter at station.

Station operated in cooperation with the Green Lake Sanitary District.

The precipitation data for this station are temporary and will only be displayed for 120 days. Rainfall instrumentation may not be calibrated, and other quality assurance measures may not be performed that would make the data acceptable for archival, retrieval, or future use in general scientific or interpretive studies.
