Click for larger image LOCATION.--Lat 38°54'58.7", long 76°56'03.5", Prince George's County, MD, Hydrologic Unit 02070010, on left bank, 500 ft downstream of Baltimore-Washington Parkway bridge, 1.0 mi southwest of Cheverly, and 0.5 mi upstream from mouth.
DRAINAGE AREA.--14.9 mi2, from automated delineation using 30-meter National Elevation Dataset, digital elevation model data, dated December 2011.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 2016 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder, crest-stage gage, and velocity meter. Datum of gage is 0.00 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
REMARKS.--U.S. Geological Survey satellite data-collection platform at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum elevation, 12.57 ft, Sept. 10, 2020; minimum elevation, -0.24 ft, Sept. 22, 2019. Maximum discharge, 5,140 ft3/s, June 3, 2018; minimum discharge, -40.8 ft3/s, Oct. 10, 2018.
COOPERATION.--Funding for the operation of this station is provided by Prince George's County and the U. S. Geological Survey.
