LOCATION.--Lat 42° 51', long 112° 00' (NAD27), in SW1/4 sec.34, T.6 S., R.38 E., Caribou County, Hydrologic Unit 17040208, Chesterfield quad., on right bank at the Butterfield ranch, about 7 mi west of Chesterfield.

DRAINAGE AREA.--41.1 mi2, revised.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--April 1912 to September 1914 (discontinued).

GAGE.--Staff gage. Elevation of gage is 5,450 ft, above NGVD of 1929, by barometer.

REMARKS.--A few small ranch diversions above station. After 1912, flood waters were diverted into the Portneuf-Marsh Valley Reservoir on Portneuf River by means of a feeder canal heading about 0.5 mi above station.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge observed, 355 ft3/s May 21, 1912, gage height, 8.0 ft; minimum observed, 7.83 ft3/s Nov. 16, 1914, gage height, 3.29 ft, from discharge measurement.
