USGS 13122500 BIG LOST RIVER BL CHILLY SINKS NR CHILLY ID

LOCATION.--Lat 43° 59'46"', long 113° 46'15"(Rev.)(NAD83), in SW1/4 NE1/4 sec.30, T.8 N., R.23 E., Custer County, Hydrologic Unit 17040218, Lehman Butte quad., on left bank 25 ft downstream from highway bridge, 4 mi downstream from Thousand Springs Creek, 6 mi upstream from Mackay Dam, 8 mi southeast of Chilly, and 10 mi northwest of Mackay.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--May 1921 to January 1922 (discontinued).

GAGE.--Staff gage. Elevation of gage is 6,120 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.

REMARKS.--Many diversions for irrigation above station.

COOPERATION.--Gage-height record furnished by water commissioner for Big Lost River.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge observed, 2,330 ft3/s June 17, 1921, gage height, 4.57 ft; minimum not determined.
