LOCATION.--Lat 43° 07'42", long 116° 18'54" (NAD27), in SE1/4 SE1/4 SE1/4 sec.27, T.3 S., R.1 E., Owyhee County, Wild Horse Butte quad., Hydrologic Unit 17050103, 0.3 mi downstream from mouth of Fossil Creek, and 9 mi north of Oreana.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--July 1985 to September 1989 (irrigation season only) (discontinued).

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 2,400 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.

REMARKS.--Canal was built to carry water pumped from the Snake River. There was no recorded flow for the 1985, 1986, 1988 and 1989 water years.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum daily discharge, 16 ft3/s May 31 to June 3, June 5, 6, 1987; no flow for many days each year.
