LOCATION.--Lat 39°10'03.9", long 76°51'04.5", Howard County, MD, Hydrologic Unit 02060006, on left bank 25 ft downstream from bridge on Guilford Road (formerly State Highway 32), 1 mi west of Guilford, 3 mi upstream from Middle Patuxent River, 4 mi north of Laurel, and 20.1 mi upstream from mouth. DRAINAGE AREA.--38.0 mi2. PERIOD OF RECORD.--April 1932 to current year. Monthly discharge only for April 1932, published in WSP 1302. REVISIONS HISTORY.--WSP 1502: 1933, 1934(M), 1939(M), 1945(M), 1948(P). GAGE.--Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Concrete control since June 20, 1946. Datum of gage is 258.56 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to June 25, 1946, nonrecording gage at same site and gage datum. REMARKS.--Low flow affected by regulation from unknown source. U.S. Geological Survey satellite data-collection platform at station. Water-quality records for some prior periods have been collected at this location. EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 12,400 ft3/s, June 22, 1972, gage height, 18.38 ft; minimum discharge, 0.0 ft3/s, Sept. 6-12, 1966.
