LOCATION.--Lat 39°20'15.4", long 77°37'35.3", Frederick County, MD, Hydrologic Unit 02070008, on right bank 0.85 mi upstream of MD Highway 79 and 0.6 mi
northwest of Rosemont.
DRAINAGE AREA.--4.55 mi2, from automated delineation using 30-meter National Elevation Dataset, digital elevation model data, dated December 2011.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 2016 to July 2020.
GAGE.--Water-stage recorder, water quality monitor, crest-stage gage and velocity meter. Datum of gage is 395.79 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988.
REMARKS.--U.S. Geological Survey water-data telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 9,630 ft3/s, May 15, 2018, gage height, 12.11 ft; minimum discharge, 0.33 ft3/s, July 9, 2018, result of
stream restoration work upstream from station.
This station managed by the MD-DE-DC Water Science Center Baltimore office.
