LOCATION.--Lat 44°31'28", long 75°11'47" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, St. Lawrence County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 04150304, on left bank 0.5 mi upstream from Harrison Creek, and 1,000 ft downstream from bridge on County Highway 21 in Pyrites.
DRAINAGE AREA.--333 mi².
PERIOD OF RECORD.--Continuous record--1925-77, annual maximum only--1985, 2003 to current year.
REVISIONS HISTORY.--WDR-US-2006: 2005(M).
GAGE.--Crest-stage partial-record station. Datum of gage is 350.61 ft above NGVD of 1929 and 350.16 ft above NAVD of 1988.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, about 8,300 ft³/s, Nov. 18, 1927, gage height, 13.00 ft, from rating curve extended above 4,200 ft³/s; maximum gage height, 15.56 ft, Feb. 25, 1985 (ice jam), from floodmarks.
