This station is part of a 2-year streamflow monitoring network expansion project for 6 new streamgages across the Missisquoi River Basin. The expansion project was requested by the Lake Champlain Basin Program (LCBP), proposed by the International Missisquoi Bay Study Board, and funding for installation was provided by the New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission.
