Boating safety tips are available from the
U.S. Coast Guard.
NOTE: During cold periods,
gage height and streamflow information may be adversely affected by
ice.
Station operated in cooperation with USDA–Natural Resources Conservation Service
The precipitation data for this station are temporary and will only be displayed for 120 days. Time series of cumulative daily values will NOT be available for retrieval following the 120-day display period. Although the instrumentation is calibrated at least once/year, the temporary classification means that documented routine inspections and other quality assurance measures are not performed that would make the data acceptable forarchival, retrieval, or future use in general scientific or interpretive studies.
"Re-establishment of gage January 17, 2008, on US Business Route 65 was located approximately 0.6 miles downstream from previous location. On July 25, 2019, a new datum was established at fiducial RM1 of 674.52 feet; resulting in a zero gage datum of 674.52-30.015 = 644.50 feet. The NAVD 88 datum was determined by USACE NWK (Reference Frame NAD_83 (2011) (EPOCH:2010.0000), GEOID12B) in reference to EM 1110-2-6056 "Standards and Procedures for Referencing Project Elevation Grades to Nationwide Vertical Datums." In February 2020, a new fiducial mark RM5 was established in lieu of RM1 after a resurfacing of the bridge deck among other modifications. As a result, a NAVD 88 elevation of 675.92 feet was determined at RM5 by a level II GNSS survey (Reference Frame NAD_83 (2011) (EPOCH:2010.0000), GEOID12B) in reference to TM-11D1. The current zero gage datum is 675.92-31.328 = 644.59 feet"
