LOCATION.--Lat 47° 27'47", long 115° 56'10" (NAD27), in SW1/4 NE1/4 SW1/4 sec.34, T.48 N., R.4 E., Shoshone County, Wallace quad., Hydrologic Unit 17010302, about 500 ft upstream from county road bridge, 0.3 mi downstream from West Fork, 0.4 mi south of Wallace city limits, and at mile 1.0.
DRAINAGE AREA.--14.9 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--November 1967 to September 1997, October 1998 to April 2000 (discontinued).

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 2,840 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Prior to Oct. 1, 1995, at datum 10.00 ft lower.
REMARKS.--Water for city of Wallace is diverted above station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 2,200 ft3/s Feb. 9, 1996, gage height, 14.81 ft, from floodmark; maximum gage height, 15.40 ft, Nov. 30, 1995, backwater from debris; minimum discharge, 0.27 ft3/s Jan. 28, 1979, gage height, 0.90 ft, datum then in use.
EXTREMES OUTSIDE PERIOD OF RECORD.--Flood of Dec. 23, 1964, estimated at 1,300 ft3/s
by Idaho Department of Highways, on basis of observed depths in concrete flume
downstream. Flood in December 1933, reported slightly higher than 1964.
