Between Shelley (13060000) and Blackfoot (13069500) gaging stations, 13 canals divert
water from Snake River for irrigation of 158,000 acres of land. Records available
during each irrigation season from 1932 to 1977 (monthly mean discharges for 1919
to 1950 published in WSP 1317). The two largest canals are equipped with recorders,
the others with nonrecording gages, most of which are read about once daily.
Discharge combined to show total diverted flow. Records furnished by watermaster
of Water District 01.
