LOCATION.--Lat 42° 37'13', long 113° 35'08'(Rev.)(NAD83), in SW1/4 SW1/4 sec.19, T.9 S., R.25 E., Minidoka County, Rupert SE quad., Hydrologic Unit 17040209, originally at Montgomery's Ferry on stage road from Minidoka to Albion, 4 mi east of Rupert, 7 mi downstream from Minidoka Dam (completed in 1907), and 23 mi upstream from diversion dam for Twin Falls Canals at Milner.

DRAINAGE AREA.--15,730 mi2, approximately.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--August 1895 to December 1910 (discontinued).

GAGE.--Staff gage. Elevation of gage is 4,129 ft above sea level, from river-profile survey.

REMARKS.--Diversions above station for irrigation of about 174,000 acres in 1895, and about 700,000 acres in 1910.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 47,500 ft3/s May 29, 30, 1897, gage height, 12.6 ft; minimum observed, 1,640 ft3/s Sept. 7, 1906, gage height, 0.6 ft, but may have been less between Nov. 1906 and Feb. 1907, due to closing gates in Minidoka dam.
