USGS 13157291 WEST INDIAN COVE CANAL NR HAMMETT ID

LOCATION.--Lat 42° 56'48", long 115° 36'54"(Rev.)(NAD83), in SE1/4 SW1/4 NW1/4 sec.34, T.5 S., R.7 E., Owyhee County, Hydrologic Unit 17050101, Indian Cove quad., on left bank of Snake River, 25 ft downstream from penstock outlet, 7.6 mi west of Hammett, and 10 mi northeast of Bruneau.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--April 1987 to October 1990 (irrigation seasons only) (discontinued).

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 2,500 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.

REMARKS.--Canal carries water which is pumped from the Snake River.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum daily discharge, 20 ft3/s Aug. 4, 7, 1987; no flow for long periods each year.
