USGS 13172840 GEM PUMPING PLANT NR MARSING ID

LOCATION.--Lat 43° 30'56", long 116° 47'08" (NAD27), in NW1/4 NW1/4 sec.14, T.2 S., R.4 W., Owyhee County, Marsing quad., Hydrologic Unit 17050103, on left bank of Snake River, approximately 2 mi southeast of Marsing.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--April 1989 to October 2003 (irrigation seasons only) (discontinued).

GAGE.--In-line flow sensor with datalogger.

REMARKS.--In-line flow sensor rated by ultrasonic flowmeter and current meter measurements. Pipe carries water pumped from the Snake River for irrigation.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum daily discharge, 355 ft3/s June 23, 2002, June 25, 2003; no flow for long periods each year.
