USGS 13251500 WEISER RIVER AT TAMARACK ID

LOCATION.--Lat 44° 56'48", long 116° 22'58"(Rev.)(NAD27), in NW1/4 NE1/4 sec.31, T.19 N., R.1 E., Adams County, Tamarack quad., Hydrologic Unit 17050124, 60 ft downstream from railroad bridge, 0.6 mi south of Tamarack, 1.5 mi upstream from Beaver Creek, and at mile 94.5.

DRAINAGE AREA.--36.5 mi2. Mean elevation, 4,600 ft.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--September 1936 to September 1971, March 1974 to December 1975 (discontinued).

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 4,080 ft by barometer. Oct. 16, 1949 to Oct. 14, 1964, at site 100 ft upstream at datum 1.42 ft higher. Prior to Oct. 16, 1949, nonrecording gage at site 0.2 mi upstream at different datum.

REMARKS.--No diversion above station. Diurnalfluctuation caused by millpond 0.6 mi upstream at Tamatack. Small flow from Boulder Creek in Salmon River basin enters Weiser River above station through transmountain diversion during late irrigation season.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 1,320 ft3/s Dec. 22, 1955, gage height, 7.17 ft, from rating curve extended above 600 ft3/s on basis of slope-area measurement of peak flow; minimum, 0.48 ft3/s July 5, 1969, gage height, 1.38 ft; minimum gage height, 0.89 ft Sept. 21, 1958, site and datum then in use.
