LOCATION.--Lat 44° 51'07", long 116° 26'45"(Rev.)(NAD83), in NE1/4 SW1/4 sec.34, T.18 N., R.1 W., Adams County, Fruitvale quad., Hydrologic Unit 17050124, 200 ft upstream from Warm Springs Creek, at Starkey, 8.5 mi north of Council, and at mile 80.0.

DRAINAGE AREA.--106 mi2.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--March 1939 to October 1949 (discontinued).

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 3,150 ft above NGVD of 1929, by barometer. Prior to Mar 18, 1939, staff gage at approximately same site, at different datum. Mar. 18 to Apr. 21, 1939, staff gage at same datum.

REMARKS.--Several small diversions from river and tributaries above station. Diurnal fluctuation at low flow caused by mill pond at Tamarack.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum daily discharge, 2,450 ft3/s Mar. 27, 1940, gage height, 6.00 ft, from rating curve extended above 700 ft3/s by logarithmic plotting; minimum, 8 ft3/s Aug. 31, 1939, Aug. 23, 1940; minimum gage height, 1.04 ft, Aug. 31, 1939.
