USGS 13261150 C BEN ROSS RES NR INDIAN VALLEY ID

LOCATION.--Lat 44° 31'18", long 116° 26'56" (NAD27), in SE1/4 SW1/4 NW1/4 sec.27, T.14 N., R.1 W., Adams County, Indian Valley quad., Hydrologic Unit 17050124, near left end of dam, about 3 mi southeast of Indian Valley.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--February 1981 to September 1982 (discontinued).

GAGE.--Nonrecording gage. Datum of gage is 3,092.46 ft above NGVD of 1929.

REMARKS.--Reservoir is formed by earthfill dam constructed in 1936-37. Storage began about April 1937. Capacity of reservoir is 7,760 acre-ft at gage height of 55.0 ft. Reservoir receives water by gravity diversion from Little Weiser River via C Ben Ross Feeder Canal (sta 13261100), and small amount from local drainage. Water is used for irrigation and recreation. Contents shown for days when readings were made and at monthend.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum contents observed, 7,870 acre-ft July 5, 9, 12, 1982, gage height, 55.3 ft; minimum contents observed, 606 acre-ft Sept. 24, 30, 1981, gage height, 20.6 ft.
