LOCATION.--Lat 44° 40'55", long 115° 32'25"(Rev.)(NAD83), in SW1/4 NW1/4 sec.31, T.16 N., R.8 E., Valley County, Landmark quad., Hydrologic Unit 17060208, on left bank 0.5 mi downstream from Bob Cat Creek (at Buck Mountain campground), 0.8 mi upstream from Lunch Creek, 1.5 mi north of Landmark Ranger Station, and 20 mi south of Yellow Pine.

DRAINAGE AREA.--55.6 mi2, revised.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1942 to October 1949 (discontinued).

GAGE.--Water-stage recorder. Elevation of gage is 6,585 ft above sea level, from river-profile map.

REMARKS.--Small diversion from Johnson Creek basin to Deadwood River basin after 1936 (about 5,000 acre-ft annually).

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 1,510 ft3/s May 27, 1948 gage height, 5.95 ft; minimum observed, 7.8 ft3/s Feb. 6, 1943, from discharge measurement; minimum gage height recorded, 1.79 ft, Nov. 25, 1943, Nov. 16, 1944.
