USGS 13350448 COW CREEK AT GENESEE ID

LOCATION.--Lat 46° 32'48", long 116° 55'37" (NAD27), in SW1/4 NW1/4 SE1/4 sec.14, T.37 N., R.5 W., Latah County, Genesee quad., Hydrologic Unit 17060108, on upstream side of county road bridge 0.2 mi south of main road through Genesee, 0.7 mi upstream from Genesee sewage disposal facilities, and 1.2 mi upstream from U.S. Highway 95.

DRAINAGE AREA.--32.6 mi2, revised.

PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1979 to July 1983, January 1984 to September 1986 (discontinued).

GAGE.--Nonrecording wire-weight gage mounted on upstream guardrail and crest-stage gage on upstream left wingwall to record peaks. Elevation of gage is 2,660 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map.

EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 1,330 ft3/s Feb. 16, 1982; maximum gage height observed, 16.62 ft Feb. 14, 1982, backwater from ice; no flow during summer months some years.
