Station operated in cooperation with Loudoun County, Virginia

During times of frozen precipitation (freezing rain, sleet, snow), the rain gage is unreliable and inaccurate. As temperatures rise, false indications of precipitation occur from melting.

This station managed by the Leetown WV Field Office.
