STATION.--394731077411701 FRANKLIN COUNTY, local well number FR332
LOCATION.--Lat 39`47'31", long 77`41'17", Hydrologic Unit 02070004, near Greencastle.
OWNER.--Borough of Greencastle.
AQUIFER.--Stonehenge Formation, Early Ordovician age.
WELL CHARACTERISTICS.--Drilled unused well, diameter 8 in., depth 296 ft, cased to 92 ft, open hole.
INSTRUMENTATION.--Data collection platform with 60-minute recording interval. Satellite telemetry at station.
DATUM.--Elevation of land surface is 730 ft above sea level, from topographic map. Measuring point: Top of casing, 1.2 ft above land-surface datum.
REMARKS.--Daily maximum, minimum, and mean water levels since October 1994 are available from the District Office. Well was pumped on Aug. 19, 1997 as part of periodic well-maintenance program.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--March 1975 to current year.
COOPERATION.--Funding for the operation of this station is provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Geological Survey.
