LOCATION--Lat 42o31'00", long 71o02'54", Middlesex County, Hydrologic Unit 01090001, 75 ft north of State Highway 128 and 0.4 mi southeast of Saugus River in Wakefield.
AQUIFER--Sand and gravel, glaciated regions; ice contact deposits aquifer.
WELL CHARACTERISTICS--Augered observation water-table well, diameter 2.0 in, depth 25.5 ft, screened 23.5 to 25.5 ft.
INSTRUMENTATION--Data Collection Platform with satellite telemeter, July 2001 to current year. Monthly measurement, January 1965 to June 2001.
DATUM--Elevation of land-surface datum is 80 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929, from topographic map. Measuring point: Top of plywood floor in base of steel shelter, 3.54 ft above land surface. Prior to July 2001, top of protective steel casing, 3.45 ft above land-surface datum; prior to July 1986, top of pipe casing, 2.50 ft above land-surface datum.
PERIOD OF RECORD--January 1965 to current year. Prior to October 1974, published in Massachusetts Hydrologic-Data Report No. 17.
COOPERATION BY--Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Office of Water Resources.
