LOCATION.--Lat 42° 54`45", long 116° 59`40", (NAD83), in SW1/4 NW1/4 SE1/4 sec.12, T.6 S., R.6 W. (Boise Meridian), Owyhee County, Williams Creek quad., Hydrologic Unit 17050108, on left bank 0.1 mi upstream from Lone Tree Creek, 1.6 mi east of the Idaho/Oregon State line, 4.8 mi southeast of Jordan Valley, Oregon, and at mile 52.6.
DRAINAGE AREA.--467 mi2.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--November 2002 to June 2004 (discontinued). October 1945 to January 1953 at site 1.9 mi upstream, April 1955 to October 1971 at site 3.5 mi upstream; records equivalent except during late summer months when considerable difference may result from irrigation and return flow between sites.
GAGE.--Elevation of gage is 4,450 ft above NGVD of 1929, from topographic map. Sept. 1, 1965 to Oct. 1971, at datum 4,499.73, unadjusted, at site 3.5 mi upstream. Apr. 23, 1955 to Jan. 31, 1965, at site 3.9 mi upstream at datum 5.73 ft higher. Prior to June 14, 1952, water-stage recorder, and June 14, 1952 to Jan. 31, 1953, nonrecording gage, at site 1.9 mi upstream at different datum. Nonrecording gage at site 0.1 mi downstream at datum 4,404.78 ft above NGVD of 1929, used as supplementary gage Feb. 3 to Aug. 31, 1965.
REMARKS.--Diversions upstream from station for irrigation.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Maximum discharge, 7,530 ft3/s Dec. 24, 1964,
gage height, 11.05 ft, site and datum then in use, from rating curve extended
