LOCATION.--Lat 40°52'22.2", long 72°52'32.6" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Suffolk County, NY, Hydrologic Unit 02030202, at Brookhaven National Laboratory, northeast corner of Thomson Road and Forth Avenue, Upton.
WELL CHARACTERISTICS.--Depth 1,395 ft. Upper casing diameter 10 in; top of first opening 1,312 ft, bottom of last opening 1,392 ft.
PERIOD OF RECORD.--August 1949 to current year.
GAGE.--Water-level recorder installed September 2015; 15-minute recording interval. Periodic manual measurements by USGS personnel.
REMARKS.--Cellular water-level telemeter at station.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF RECORD.--Highest water level measured, 36.11 ft above NGVD of 1929, July 12, 1979; lowest recorded, 28.40 ft above NGVD of 1929, Oct. 3, 2017.
