LOCATION - Lat 42°15'53", long 72°00'17" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Worcester County, MA, Hydrologic Unit 01080204, on left bank 5 ft downstream from bridge on Cooney Road and 1.5 mi north of Spencer.
DRAINAGE AREA - 8.81 mi².  
REVISIONS HISTORY - WDR MA-RI-84-1, WDR MA-RI-03-1: Drainage area.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Occasional low-flow measurements, water year 1960. October 1960 to current year. October and November 1960 monthly discharge only, published in WSP 1901.
GAGE - Data Collection Platform with satellite telemeter. Datum of gage is 629.40 ft above NAVD 1988, estimated from topographic map. Prior to May 21, 2020, datum of gage reported as 618.20 ft above NGVD 1929, estimated from topographic map. Datum of gage previously reported as 630 ft above NGVD 1929, estimated from topographic map. Prior to Sept. 25, 1984, at datum 8.83 ft higher.
COOPERATION - Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Office of Water Resources.
REMARKS - Records fair except those for discharges less than 10 cfs and those for estimated discharges, which are poor. Occasional regulation by ponds upstream since 1971, mainly during the summer and autumn months.
