LOCATION - Lat 41°33'08", long 72°26'59" referenced to North American Datum of 1927, Middlesex County, CT, Hydrologic Unit 01080205, on left bank at State Rt. 16 Bridge, 450 ft downstream from New London-Middlesex County line, 300 ft downstream from Comstock Bridge, 0.7 mi downstream from Dickinson Creek, and 3.5 mi southeast of East Hampton.
DRAINAGE AREA - 100 mi².
REVISIONS HISTORY - WSP 1201: 1929. WDR CT-78-1: 1976 (P). WDR CT-83-1: Drainage area. WDR CT-04-1: Latitude.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - July 1928 to current year.
GAGE - Water-stage recorder and crest-stage gage. Datum of gage is 63.45 ft above North American Vertical Datum of 1988. Prior to 12/29/2022 datum of gage was reported as 64.38 ft above National Geodetic Vertical Datum of 1929. Prior to August 26, 1974, at site 500 ft upstream at datum 5.12 ft higher; from August 26, 1974 to May 6, 1980, at site 500 ft upstream at datum 2.13 ft higher; from May 6, 1980 to June 24, 1987 at site 200 ft upstream at datum 0.67 ft lower. Satellite telemetry at station.
REMARKS -

Slight regulation at low flow by ponds upstream. The maximum peak stage of 14.40 ft. on June 6, 1982 was at site and datum then in use.

Water Year 2018: Records good except for periods of estimated discharges and the period May 15 - Sept. 30, which are fair.
Water Year 2019: Records good except for periods of estimated discharges and the period Oct. 1- Oct. 11, which are fair.
