01407770 SHARK RIVER AT BELMAR, NJ
LOCATION - Lat 40°11'08", long 74°01'34" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, Belmar Borough, Monmouth County, NJ, Hydrologic Unit 02030104, on west side of route 35 bridge over the South Arm of Shark River, 0.2 mi southwest of the eastern most point of Shark River Island, 0.4 mi northeast of the Belmar Manutti municipal marina, and 1.0 mi southwest of Shark River Inlet.
SURFACE-WATER RECORDS
PERIOD OF RECORD - Unpublished fragmentary gage-height record, August 1997 to June 2000. Continuous-record tide gage, July 2000 to January 2002, September 2004 to current year.
GAGE - Tide elevation recorder with telemetry. Datum of gage is at 0.00 ft NAVD of 1988. To determine approximate elevations to NGVD of 1929, add 1.20 ft. Prior to August 10, 2015 the primary tide elevation sensor and crest-stage gage were located about 1600 ft southwest at the Belmar Municipal Marine.
