USGS Water-Year Summary 2021
LOCATION - Lat 39°27'57.4", long 75°36'48.7" referenced to North American Datum of 1983, New Castle County, DE, Hydrologic Unit 02040205, on downstream side of bridge on Silver Run Road (Rt. 9) near Odessa, about 3 mi upstream from the confluence with the Delaware River.
GAGE - Water-quality monitor since Oct. 26, 2011, provides continuous readings (15-minute log interval). Sensor is mounted near left bank, at the upstream wingwall of Route 9 bridge.
PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - TEMPERATURE: October 2011 to current year SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: October 2011 to current year pH: October 2011 to current year DISSOLVED OXYGEN: October 2011 to current year
COOPERATION - Funding for water-quality data collection is provided by the Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection through the Delaware Geological Survey, and the U.S. Geological Survey.

REMARKS - Missing record due to periodic instrument malfunction, blow-out tides caused by heavy NW / WNW wind, and probes affected by ice.
EXTREMES FOR PERIOD OF DAILY RECORD - SPECIFIC CONDUCTANCE: Maximum, 20,300 microsiemens/cm on multiple days, first occurrence on 11/11/16; minimum, 279 microsiemens/cm, Jan. 09, 2019.

WATER TEMPERATURE: Maximum, 32.1°C, first occurrence on  July 21, 2019; minimum, -0.4°C, Feb. 24 2015.

pH: Maximum, 9.0 standard units, Apr. 6-9, 14, 2012; minimum, 6.7 standard units, Sept. 4-6, 2012.

DISSOLVED OXYGEN: Maximum, 16.3 mg/L, Feb. 28, 2017; minimum, 1.2 mg/L, July 10, 2012.
